SARAWAK has recorded zero new Covid-19 infections for four days although there were 57 new cases nationwide today.
The last recorded cases in the state were on Wednesday, which saw two cases in Kuching and one case in Kota Samarahan.
The State Disaster Management Committee said the total number of positive cases in Sarawak remains at 552 cases.
The total number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19 has increased to 508 with the recovery rate at 92 per cent of total cases.
Meanwhile, Health Department director general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were no new Covid-19 deaths although 57 new cases were recorded today.
The total number of cases in the country is now 7,819 while the death toll remains at 115.
“Of the new cases, 10 are imported. Of the 47 local transmissions, 43 involve foreign nationals,” he said.
He said there were four clusters, including the Sepang immigration depot cluster.
A total of 23 people recovered today, bringing the total to 6,353.
Some 1,351 are still being treated, with nine patients being treated in the intensive care unit and two needing respirators.
