Umno man urges MPs to withdraw support for Muhyiddin

UMNO supreme council member Datuk Mohd Puad Zarkashi urged Barisan Nasional MPs to withdraw their support for the Perikatan Nasional government.

He said Umno’s demands over the Budget 2021 have not been met, which are making the EPF i-Sinar programme more accessible and an automatic loan moratorium.

“Just withdraw support from Muhyiddin as prime minister. This might seem like kamikaze. But what’s wrong with that. It’s for the people.

“Maybe not all BN MPs backbenchers are willing. Even if five withdraw support, then thank God. Even three is ok. Use your conscience,” he said in a Facebook post.

Puad cited BN Backbenchers Club chairman Datuk Seri Najib Razak who previously said BN would still have other means to take action should the situation remained unchanged.

“Najib had said he will continue to pressure the PN government to fulfil its promise until both issues are resolved completely,” he said.
