SARAWAK recorded two new Covid-19 clusters with a total of 111 infections that started from social gatherings at longhouses.
State Disaster Management Committee said the Bali Pie cluster in Subis district resulted from a mass gathering at two longhouses.
There are 62 cases in the cluster so far.
In Tatau, the Jalan Samarakan cluster has 49 residents in a longhouse who tested positive for the coronavirus.
The state also recorded four more Covid-19 deaths, bringing the total fatalities to 334.
Two of the deaths were in Sibu, with the male victims aged 63 and 67.
The other deaths were in Sri Aman involving a 63-year-old woman while a 70-year-old succumbed to the virus in Kanowit Hospital.
Of Sarawak’s 631 new cases today, Kuching had the most cases with 103 infections, followed by Miri (102), Sri Aman (71), Sibu (55), Tatau (54), Kapit (37), Subis (36) and Bintulu (28).
