SARAWAK Health Department has managed to trace 235 participants who attended the tabligh gathering at Masjid Sri Petaling in Selangor from Feb 27 to March 1.
Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian said most of them were undergoing self-quarantine at home while some have been hospitalised as Person-Under-Investigation (PUI).
“Probably there are another 200 or more people, who were present at the event, that need to come forward for further investigations urgently,” he wrote in his Facebook account.
Sarawak disaster management committee said it is estimated that more than 500 Sarawakians, who attended the tabligh gathering, could have been exposed to Covid-19.
