SARAWAK recorded three new positive Covid-19 cases today, with two in Kuching and one in Lubok Antu.

The case in Kuching was locally transmitted and involved a man who tested positive at a private hospital.

The man got tested as he wanted to accompany his wife who was about to give birth. He was tested positive yesterday.

The other case in Kuching involves a Swedish national who just returned from overseas.

As for the case in Lubok Antu, the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said it involved an illegal Indonesian woman who had also earlier been to Mukah and Sibu.

She was arrested in Lubok Antu while trying to cross the border at Ensawang.

“This brings the total number of positive cases in the state to 1,090 cases,” added the SDMC.
