Sarawak records 76 more suspected Covid-19 cases

SARAWAK recorded 76 new Person Under Investigation (PUI) cases for the Covid-19 today – the highest in the past two months.

Sarawak General Hospital in Kuching has the most at 48 cases, followed by Miri (18), Mukah (6), Lawas (2) and one each in Sibu and Bintulu hospitals.

With these new cases, since Jan 10 until today, Sarawak has 338 PUI cases.

Of the numbers, three had been confirmed positive, 240 negative and 95 were pending laboratory tests.

The state has also postponed all government and public gatherings in Sarawak involving more than 250 participants in light of the three confirmed Covid-19 cases today.

Sarawakians have also been advised to postpone or defer all non-essential travel to Brunei, Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia while visitors from these three places have also been advised to postpone or defer their travels to Sarawak.
