Sarawak records 544 cases today; Second highest nationwide

SARAWAK recorded the second highest number of Covid-19 cases nationwide, with 544 new positive cases today.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases in the state to 55,443, said health director-general, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The state with the highest number of new Covid-19 infections was again Selangor with 1,973 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (462), Johor (363), Sabah (335).

In total, Malaysia recorded a total 5,304 cases as of noon today which brings the overall total to 657,508 cases.

No new cluster was reported in the state today, but 82 clusters still remained active.

The highest number of cases were registered at the Gerigat Cluster in Kabong with 33 cases today.

As for the remaining clusters, 10 reported 85 new cases, while there were no reports from the others.
