SARAWAK, along with Perlis and Labuan, will transition into Phase 3 of the National Recovery Plan on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said in a Facebook posting that the three states have shown good progress and hoped more states will be able to follow them into the next phase.

He reminded for all to continue following SOPs and efforts to improve the pandemic situation at the respective states.

He added that people should remain optimistic and move forward so that the recovery plan can be carried out more systematically and safely.

Under Phase 3, more activities and many business will be allowed to operate.

Among the relaxations will be social gatherings such as weddings, engagements, tahlil, and receptions.

Individual and team sporting events for training and competition will also be allowed with SOPs.

The private sector can also operate at full capacity under the third phase.

Inter-district travel will be allowed but inter-state will remain prohibited.

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee is expected to announce more details on allowed activities and SOPs.
