Nationwide, there are 317 Covid-19 positive cases among those below 12 years of age, of which 112 were aged below four and 22 below one year of age, health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced today. There’s no deaths among patients aged 12 and below.

“Selangor recorded the highest number of Covid-19 cases among children at 77, followed by Negeri Sembilan (48), Johor (46), Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya (28) and Sabah (26),” he added.

Dr Noor Hisham said besides the elderly, children are also in the high-risk group.

He urged parents to constantly remind their children to observe hygiene such as washing their hands regularly and wear face masks when they go out.
