PM stable following infection to digestive system

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin who was admitted to hospital after coming down with an infection to the digestive system is stable and his health is improving.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in a statement today said a comprehensive health screening conducted on Muhyiddin showed there were no signs of any tumour recurring.

The statement added that following the advice of doctors, Muhyiddin will remain warded at the hospital, where he will receive antibiotics treatment via intravenous drips.

“The prime minister’s condition is stable and he is getting better.

“He is also allowed to perform his duties while receiving treatment at the hospital.

“He is expected to be discharged from the hospital in another few days,” read the statement.

The statement also said the prime minister extends his appreciation to the public who prayed for his recovery.

It was reported that Muhyiddin was admitted to a hospital in Kuala Lumpur on June 30.
