A NURSE attached to a rural clinic in Ulu Baram has won praises from netizens for her extra efforts in assisting villagers with their vaccination.

A Facebook user recently highlighted the hard work by the nurse.

In a photograph, the nurse can be seen in a boat with a 94-year-old woman after administering the Covid-19 vaccine for her.

The nurse had apparently walked out to the old woman under the hot sun to save her the trouble of walking up the slippery steep bank to the clinic.

“A lesson learnt … let us help each other during this pandemic, God bless the nurse” read the caption by Facebook user, Francis Nyurang Ding.

Though Sarawak leads with more than 55 per cent of its adult population already vaccinated, healthcare workers have been facing challenging times reaching folks in the interiors.

Healthcare workers had to travel by 4WD, boats and helicopter to ensure nobody was left out of the Covid-19 National Immunisation Programme (NIP).
