EFFECTIVE tomorrow, all Malaysians and foreigners entering Sarawak from Malaya, Sabah and Labuan do not need to undergo the Covid-19 rT-PCR test three days before travelling to the state.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said that this is the latest decision made by Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) after accessing the Covid-19 situation in Malaya, Sabah, and Labuan which is under control.

“However, those entering Sarawak are still required to fill in the ‘Enter Sarawak’ form online and must be attached with the necessary documents,” he said in his daily Covid-19 update as reported by the New Sarawak Tribune.

Uggah, who is also the SDMC chairman, said that those entering Sarawak will still need to undergo the mandatory 14-day quarantine upon arrival.

SDMC also reported that Marudi District’s status has changed from green to yellow after one new local Covid-19 case was detected.

This brings the total number of yellow districts to 17 while 12 districts remain red, three remain orange, and only eight are green.
