New Covid-19 cases nationwide back to 4 digits, with 153 in Sarawak

MALAYSIA recorded 1,133 new Covid-19 cases today, one day after dipping below the 1,000-mark, with Sarawak reporting 153 infections and two deaths.

Selangor continue to top the list with 401 cases, followed by Penang (194) and Sarawak.

Cumulatively, there are now 328,554 Covid-19 infections nationwide, including 16,214 from Sarawak.

Of the new cases in Sarawak, most of them were from Sibu (40), followed by Miri (33), Kuching (20), Bintulu (18), and Meradong (11), the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) reported.

The two deaths involved a 33-year-old local man in Miri and a 61-year-old man in Bintulu.

Meanwhile, five deaths were reported nationwide, with the death toll now at 1,265, Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.
