Musa Aman claims to have support to take over Sabah govt

EX-SABAH Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman has claimed to have enough support from lawmakers to form the next state government.

In a statement, he said he was had been asked by the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Juhar Mahiruddin to show proof of the support he has in the form of statutory declarations by lawmakers in the 65-seat assembly.

He said that Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin and the PM’s political secretary Datuk Nardin Awang had met with Juhar earlier today on the formation of a new state government.

Musa added that he had in his possession statutory declarations from the assemblyman pledging support for him to form the next government.

“Moving forward, the new government will work on improving the policies to lift Sabah out of the economic doldrums due to weaknesses in the Warisan government in handling the Covid-19 pandemic,” he added.
