PRIME Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has completed his 14-day self quarantine yesterday and has tested negative twice for the virus during that period.

In a statement today, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said Muhyiddin’s second Covid-19 test returned negative on October 15.

“Following this, the Prime Minister’s Officer wishes to inform that both of the prime minister’s Covid-19 tests have returned negative throughout his 14-day self-quarantine and his self quarantine ended on Oct 16,” the PMO said in a statement.

It further added that the PM today continued to chair the daily National Security Council (NSC) meeting via video conferencing this morning, as a precautionary measure.

Earlier this month, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad al-Bakri tested positive for Covid-19. He had attended a NSC meeting chaired by Muhyiddin. All other attendees were also ordered to self quarantine.
