CHIEF Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Abang Openg said the National Security Council (MKN) will decide if the current Movement Control Order (MCO) 3.0, will be extended beyond June 28.

“Let them have a meeting first,” he told reporters after visiting the the Longi Industrial Covid-19 Vaccine Administration Centre (PPV) at the Samajaya Industrial Free Zone here today.

The council meets twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.

Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian had previously said that Sarawak may not extend the MCO if the number of cases drops in the state.

However, despite the lockdown and even EMCOs in various places in Sarawak, the state has consistently logged more than 500 cases daily.
