Man tears up summon, shows cop middle finger

A MAN was detained along Jalan Bengkel in Sibu after he tore up a summon, then showed a lewd sign to a traffic policeman.

Sibu police chief, ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said in the incident about 8am yesterday, the traffic cop had issued the summon after the suspect had parked illegally.

“When the policeman was about to issue the summon, the suspect reversed his car, but was prevented by the police.

“The suspect then got out, grabbed the summon, tore it and threw it on the road,” he said as reported by Utusan Borneo.

At the same time, the suspect also showed his middle finger to the policeman and uttered some profanities.

The case is being investigated under Section 186 of the Penal Code while the suspect, a lorry driver has been arrested.
