Malaysia’s total Covid-19 cases cross 10,000 mark

MALAYSIA now has a total of 10,031 Covid-19 cases, after 62 new cases were reported over the past 24 hours, of which 60 were from Sabah.

Of the 60 cases in Sabah, 48 were from the Benteng LD cluster and four from healthcare workers in the Lahad Datu Hospital, Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a statement today.

Kedah and Penang reported one case each, while one import case was reported today.

No new deaths were reported while 15 patients are receiving treatment in intensive care units nationwide, of whom three of them were on ventilator support.

Twenty-six patients were discharged today, with the total now 9,235 cases.

Meanwhile, in Sarawak, no new Covid-19 cases were reported, said the State Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).
