LONGHOUSE folk have been reminded not to waste time on opposition politicians who are clearly against development and government policies.

Community Wellbeing Assistant Minister, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis said this when officiating at an ‘Information On Wheel’ (IOW) programme at Rumah Ringgit Bayang, Ibol Undop in Simanggang recently.

“We are grateful because political stability under Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) allows us to focus on sustainable development in all areas in the state, including the Simanggang constituency,” he told the people as reported by the New Sarawak Tribune.

Deputy Resident, Elvis Didit reminded all longhouse chiefs to understand the aspirations of the government which appointed them.

At the function, the Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) of Rumah Ringgit Bayang received a Minor Rural Project (MRP) allocation of RM50,000 for its activities.

The Kenyalang Gold Cards (KGC) were also handed over to 40 recipients from three longhouses who were invited to the event.
