JOURNALISTS who camped outside Istana Negara where much political developments is unfolding have been treated with KFC and McDonald’s meals by the palace in the past two days.

Today, they even got to enjoy the chocolate malt beverage as the everyone’s “childhood memories” Milo truck was seen parked outside the palace.

Although it is going to be another long day for them, they don’t have to worry much about their meals. Hope they can focus better to provide the latest news for the people.

But, wait.

How about their mobile phones, laptops, recorders, cameras? Is there any wall sockets outside the palace?

These gadgets will not function when they are run out of power, so, a power bank is a MUST for the journalists. Otherwise, how to compete with the others in the digital era?

So, Xiaomi Malaysia has decided to distribute power banks to the hardworking journalists who braced the weather in order to provide the latest news to the people.

“You guys covered the news, we got you covered. Thank you, unsung hero.” the company posted in their Facebook page.

Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah will be interviewing 131 members of parliament (MP) today.

While most people are either glued to our televisions, social media to follow the latest political development in the country, it is hoped the journalists stay safe and drink more water!

Thank you to the unsung heroes!
