AFTER spending a month in the United States, Sarawakian beauty queen Francisca Luhong James arrived in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
She is currently undergoing the 14-day mandatory quarantine at Sunway Resort Hotel.
The Kuching-born lass represented Malaysia in the 69th Miss Universe competition at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood, Florida, last month.
She is the first indigenous Miss Malaysia at the Miss Universe competition finals.
After the event, she toured some of the major cities in the US.
The Miss Universe Malaysia 2020 winner made it through the preliminary rounds – most notably with the ‘Kampungku’ (My Village) costume for the National Costume slot in the 69th Miss Universe competition. However, she failed to enter the Top 21 in the pageant.
Born on Oct 14, 1996, Francisca was raised within the Orang Ulu community in Belaga. Her father, James Bungan is of Orang Ulu descent from Ulu Sungai Asap, while her mother Pauline Japok is an Iban from Kanowit.
She currently works in the public relations and marketing field in Kuala Lumpur.
