Covid-19: Three new cases in Sarawak, all from Alam cluster

THREE new Covid-19 cases were reported in Sarawak today, bringing the total cases in the state to 691.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the three new cases were imported and were detected through contact tracing of the Alam cluster in Bintulu.

SDMC said two of them are locals while the other is a Filipino.

It said there are now six active clusters in Sarawak – the Engineering Firm cluster with eight cases, Mambong cluster (7), Sentosa cluster (31), Melbourne PUI cluster (3), Satok Market cluster (4) and the Bintulu Alam cluster (7).

SDMC said Kuching remains a yellow zone while the 39 other districts in the state are green zones.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry recorded 10 new Covid-19 cases nationwide, including the Sarawak cases.

Eight are imported while the other two are local transmissions, involving the Tawar cluster in Kedah.

No deaths were reported today and the total deaths stands at 125.
