Covid-19: Sarawak records 440 cases

MALAYSIA recorded 6,982 new Covid-19 cases and 73 deaths in the past 24 hours.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the total number of infections now stands at 765,949.

There are 66,084 active cases with 905 patients in the ICU and 443 on ventilators.

The number of fatalities stands at 5,327.

Selangor recorded the highest number of cases with 2,907.

This was followed by Kuala Lumpur (637), Negeri Sembilan (606), Johor (517), Sarawak (440), Penang (351), Pahang (329), Kedah (257), Sabah (230), Malacca (202), Perak (182), Labuan (131), Kelantan (129), Terengganu (44) and Putrajaya (20).

There are no new cases in Perlis today.

In Sarawak, there were four deaths today, bringing the death toll to 417 while the total number of cases is now 65,835.

There are three new clusters – Jalan Sagang cluster in Bau, Kilometer 85 cluster in Mukah and Sungai Gamong cluster in Meradong.
