Covid-19: Sarawak cases cross 2,000 mark with nationwide tally at more than 23,000

SARAWAK recorded its highest number of cases with 2,548 infections today, while the national tally also reached a record high of 23,564 over the past 24 hours.

Sarawak’s previous high was 1,566 while the nationwide high was yesterday’s 22,948 cases.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the total number of infections now stands at more than 1.5 million cases.

Selangor recorded the most cases with 6,974, followed by Sabah (2,738), Sarawak (2,548), Kedah (1,932), Kuala Lumpur (1,652), Penang (1,523), Johor (1,323), Kelantan (1,281) and Perak (1,248).

Malacca had 610 cases, Negeri Sembilan (608), Terengganu (521), Pahang (517), Perlis (64), Putrajaya (24) and Labuan (1).
