SARAWAK reported 133 new cases and has identified yet another Covid-19 cluster today with the Jalan Muhibbah Cluster in Betong.
State Disaster Management Committee said the new cluster was a community cluster that started at a house in Jalan Muhibbah following a social gathering there on Feb 10.
The index case involves a 50-year-old man, who was tested positive on Feb 16.
Active contact tracing led to the detection of another 17 cases of Covid-19.
Meanwhile, SDMC said the Bah Sayap Cluster in Miri has ended today following no new cases for the past 28 days.
There are still 25 active clusters in Sarawak.
Sarawak also recorded two more deaths today, both in Sibu.
This brings the total number of fatalities in the state to 76 while tally of cases is now 8,297.
Meradong had 36 cases, followed by Sibu (28), Betong (17), Samarahan (13), Kuching (12), Bintulu (8) and Julau (6).
Subis had six cases and Miri (3), while Kanowit, Saratok, Dalat and Beluru had one case each.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry reported 2,468 new Covid-19 cases and 14 deaths in the past 24 hours.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 4,055 recoveries, bringing the total number of discharges to 256,678.
He said the total number of infections now stands at 288,229, with 30,475 active cases.
There are 196 patients in ICU, with 92 on respirators.
Meanwhile, the 14 deaths bring the number of fatalities to 1,076.
Dr Noor Hisham said 13 were Malaysians, with the youngest being a 30-year-old in Johor and the oldest a 77-year-old woman from Selangor.
Twelve of them had existing medical history.
Selangor had 932 new cases, followed by Johor (428), Perak (308), Kuala Lumpur (155), Penang (155), Sarawak (133), Negeri Sembilan (100), Kelantan (96), Sabah (94), Malacca (22), Kedah (15), Pahang (11), Terengganu (nine), Labuan (six) and Putrajaya (four).
