PADANG Rengas MP Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz has joined the ranks of politicians to be tested positive for Covid-19.

When contacted, Nazri said he got tested after discovering he was a close contact of a Covid-19 positive patient who attended his press conference in Kuala Lumpur on Jan 12.

“(Blogger) Zaharin (Mohd Yasin) wrote on his blog saying he was positive Covid-19.

“So after I read the blog I did the test and I was confirmed positive last night,” he told Malaysiakini.

Nazri also said he is currently under quarantine at the Raja Perempuan Zainab Hospital in Kota Baru, Kelantan since yesterday.

On Jan 12, Nazri held a press conference at Umno’s headquarters in PWTC, Kuala Lumpur, along with Pasir Salak MP Tajuddin Abdul Rahman.

Four days later, former Bandar Tun Razak Umno secretary Zaharin Mohd Yasin, who was also present in the crowd, confirmed that he tested positive for Covid-19.
