MALAYSIA recorded a third consecutive day of record highs with 13,215 new cases in the past 24 hours.
The previous highs were 11,618 on Tuesday and 11,079 on Monday.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the total number of infections now stands at 880,782.
There are 108,369 active cases, with 885 patients in the ICU and 432 on ventilators.
There were also 110 deaths today, raising the death toll to 6,613.
More than 60% of the cases are in the Klang Valley, with Selangor recording 6,120 cases while Kuala Lumpur had 1,499 cases.
Negeri Sembilan had 1,603 cases, followed by Kedah (695), Johor (599), Penang (509), Malacca (484), Sabah (370), Sarawak (363), Perak (344), Kelantan (255), Pahang (222), Terengganu (70), Putrajaya (53), Labuan (26) and Perlis (3).
Sarawak’s cases has passed the 70,000 mark, with the total now standing at 70,228 infections since the pandemic started.
There were four fatalities today, bringing the state’s death toll to 443.
