Covid-19: Malaysia hits 10-day streak of new cases below 100

MALAYSIA has recorded 38 new Covid-19 cases, one of the lowest in more than a month. Today also marked the 10th consecutive day where new cases are below the 100 mark.

No new deaths were reported, with the tally standing at 98 now. The total number of Covid-19 cases in the country is 5,780, Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced today.

The number of patients newly discharged from hospitals is 100, with a total of 3,862 cases having been given a clean bill of health.

There are 36 patients still in intensive care units, with 15 of them needing respiratory support.

The last time Malaysia has new cases above 100 was on Apr 16 with 110 cases reported. Since then, the lowest number of cases reported were 36 on Apr 20.
