Covid-19 death toll now 63, 171 new cases reported today

MALAYSIA has recorded 171 new Covid-19 cases today, bringing the tally to 3,963 cases. There is also one fatal case involving a man who had attended a religious gathering in Sulawesi from March 17 to March 24.

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah who announced this today said the death toll is now 63, or 1.6 percent of total Covid-19 cases.

He added that 92 patients are in the intensive care unit (ICU), down from 102 yesterday.

For Covid-19 patients in ICU, 54 are on ventilators, down from 50 people yesterday.

One-third of all Covid-19 patients have recovered.

Hisham reported 80 new recoveries today, bringing the total to 1,321 people who have been discharged.
