Covid-19: Daily cases cross 22,000 mark, Sarawak rises to over 1,400 cases

MALAYSIA registered yet another record high number of Covid-19 cases with 22,242 infections reported in the past 24 hours.

The previous high was 21,668 on Aug 12.

Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the total number of infections now stands at 1,466,512.

Selangor had the most cases with 6,858, followed by Sabah (2,413), Penang (1,867), Kedah (1,852), Kuala Lumpur (1,587), Johor (1,477), Sarawak (1,403), Kelantan (1,351) and Perak (1,036).

Pahang had 675 cases, Malacca (579), Negeri Sembilan (577), Terengganu (487), Perlis (50), Putrajaya (25), and Labuan (5).
