Covid-19: Cases spike in Sarawak as national tally almost at 1.3 mil cases

SARAWAK recorded a spike in infections today with 836 cases reported over the past 24 hours, compared to 589 cases yesterday.

The increase also follows a rise in nationwide infections today with the health ministry reporting 19,991 Covid-19 cases.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the total number of infections is now almost 1.3 million.

Selangor recorded the most cases with 7,338, followed by Kuala Lumpur (2,374), Kedah (1,830), Sabah (1,383), Johor (1,344) and Kelantan (1,030).

Perak had 953 cases, Penang (743), Malacca (578), Negeri Sembilan (564), Pahang (539), Terengganu (378), Putrajaya (76), Perlis (24) and Labuan (1).
