SARAWAK recorded 276 new Covid-19 cases today, with the tally now at 14,250 cases. Most of the cases were from Sibu (68) followed by Bintulu (66).
The state also recorded one new death involving a 66-year-old local man who was admitted to Sibu Hospital following breathing difficulties, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) reported. The victim, who suffered from end-stage kidney problems, diabetes and high blood pressure tested positive on March 16 and died three days later.
This brings the Covid-19 death toll in Sarawak to 97.
Nationwide, 1,327 new cases were reported nationwide today, with Selangor topping the list at 356, followed by Sarawak, taking the total infections to 333,040 cases. Penang recorded 205 cases, Johor 141 and Kuala Lumpur 115.
Four new deaths were also reported.
