Bersatu powwow ongoing amid talks of Muhyiddin resigning

BERSATU top brass are having an emergency meeting in Kuala Lumpur now as speculations mount that party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will resign as Prime Minister tomorrow.

The meeting is held at the Perikatan Nasional (PN) headquarters in Publika, a business district in KL.

Those saw entering the premises include Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu, Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon, Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Zuraida Kamaruddin, and Supreme council member Datuk Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof.

Independent MP Datuk Dr Xavier Jayakumar was also present.

The meeting comes amid speculation that Muhyiddin may soon step down as prime minister.

He is expected to meet the Yang di-Pertuan Agong tomorrow.
