Batu Kawa murder allegedly sparked by dispute over broken windscreen

A SUSPECT who allegedly killed his friend for breaking his car windscreen has been remanded for seven days.

The Kuching Magistrate’s Court today granted a remand application against the suspect under Section 302 of the Penal Code, until Feb 26, reported the DayakDaily.

He had allegedly stabbed his friend, aged 37, to death at a five-foot-way along a row of Shops in Batu Kawa on Monday.

The body was discovered by the public at 3.40am and the police were alerted.

CCTV footage showed that the victim appeared to have been stabbed by a man who was riding pillion with him on a motorcycle.
The suspect pulled out a sharp object from under his shirt and repeatedly stabbed the victim until he collapsed on the road.

The 25-year-old suspect was nabbed at a house in Taman Everbright in Kuching by a police patrol team the next day
