STARTING noon tomorrow, those below 60 years old will be able to register for the second round of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine opt-in programme.
Coordinating Minister for the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (NIP) Khairy Jamaluddin said the slots will be available for people in Kuching, Miri, the Klang Valley, Penang and Johor.
Currently the slots are open only for those above 60 years old.
Khairy said this during the weekly press conference by the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force today.
The NST reports him saying that 228,347 slots for the second round of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine opt-in programme have been booked so far.
“Individuals in the waiting list during the first round of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine opt-in programme will be included automatically in the second round of the programme,” he said.
The second round of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine opt-in programme will involve four new vaccination centres – Bayan Lepas, Penang; Persada Johor International Convention Centre in Johor Baru, Johor; as well as Borneo Convention Centre in Kuching and National Youth Skills Institute in Miri.
